May every cause have this much passion
I confess that I don’t possess enough unallocated energy to go to this much trouble (above), but this sticker did make me laugh.
I vaguely remember from my high school days, which were not spent at John Overton High School, that the Overton Band had evolved into somewhat of a cult, complete with “I Love the Overton Band!” bumper stickers.
Think you have what it takes? Read the band handbook sections on attitude and general rules before you apply.

I have no idea why this bumper sticker amuses me so much, but it does.

I felt the same way. I couldn’t help but laugh.

Hi Emily! It’s great to hear from you. I hope you are doing well, too!
I’m glad to hear someone confirm the insanity, too. It does seem over the top!

i had a number of youth in the overton band years back when i worked a church in that area. it amazed me the things they put into that band. i did marching band one year… i think we knew it was high school and shouldn’t occupy time that would be otherwise spent having a life. overton could figure that out sometime

Hey Rob! Wow, it’s been a long time. I think the last time I saw you was a random run-in in New Orleans, oh, about 8 years ago? Ringing any bells?
I laughed out loud when I read this. I was a MEMBER of that band and found it to be completely insane, although quite fun and entertaining at the time, what can I say, I was only 15-years-old. The term “PMA” still makes me shiver. Not sure how I ever survived my 2 year stint in the marching band!
Looking back now, it makes me laugh…

It sure has been, Marissa. Yes, I do remember running into you in New Orleans, and that does feel like a lifetime ago. I hope you are well!
I’m glad to hear that you are a band alumna with a good sense of humor.
I don’t have an official dog in the hunt regarding the Overton Band, but that bumper sticker definitely cracked me up. The band must have provoked strong emotions for folks who love and hate it alike to bother creating stickers about it. I looked online for an image of the “love” sticker, but alas, no dice.
