Bellacino’s a makeshift memorial
The storefront at Bellacino’s continues to serve as a makeshift memorial for Chris Caris and Josh Cole, who were murdered in the restaurant on October 26. Candles were actively burning when I visited there Sunday evening, and there are dozens of flowers left in memory of both men. The glass facade of the restaurant is covered with handwritten notes from friends and loved ones. Standing in the midst of a retail strip mall, it is an out-of-place but very moving spectacle. The families and friends of these two men are in my thoughts, and I can’t imagine how hard this has all been for them.

Great coverage. Sad story.
Interesting coverage on the homeless story too!

Thanks, Nathan. I really appreciate the kind words. Visiting the site of the crimes gave me a very real sense of how much was lost for the two victims and their families.
