Life is much more than a game
Life has a way of reminding us that final scores and other distractions ultimately aren’t all that important. The Nance family and everyone involved in this tragedy have my utmost sympathy today. I honestly can’t imagine what they and those close to them must be feeling right now.

It’s been on my mind since yesterday evening. I had a stray thought a week or two ago about something similar when my wife and I were walking near heavy traffic. I’m definitely thinking about everyone involved, too, and this is a good reminder that life is precious and uncertain.

my heart aches with sorrow for this family. my son, tucker, is almost 7 and plays in the same basketball league as Max. my thoughts and earnest prayers are with the nance family. God please hold them and comfort them. life is so, so precious

My daughter was friends with Max and in his class at Julia Green. He was such a joy always with a smile on his face. We were blessed to be able to attend his funeral service yesterday which was an absolutely beautiful rememberence of a little boy who was bigger than life. He will be missed by us all. His parents epitomize what this world needs more of-dedicated and devoted parents who loved more than anything. May God keep him in His arms.

I had the honor of working with Max when he was in kindergarten and haven’t seen him or his family since then. I was shocked when I found out about this terrible tragedy. I have no words to make the pain of losing a love one go away, but I want the Nance’s to know that you are all in my thoughts and my prayers. God bless!

I just happened to come across this page on the internet by pure chance. You all have our deepest appreciation for your thoughts and prayers during this time. The tidal wave of support that we have received from this community has been quite humbling. We will forever adore Max, and his brief life continues to create tiny miracles for us and many others. Blessings to you all…
